Composition Rules
Background and Foreground
In the first photo, I wanted the viewers to notice the "v-shape" tree in the foreground but also notice the school in the background. The second one is foreground because the stop sign is close up but we can still see the school in the background.
Motion
The first picture is a stopped motion picture of someone walking on the crosswalk. The second portrays two people laughing with the school in the background.
Cropping a Picture
In my cropping photo, I chose the school sign because when it is cropped one can more clearly see "A Catholic Tradition of Excellence".
Depth of Field
The first picture I took was the view down Vine street and the second was in our school parking lot. The second photo I wanted to notice the building in the background through the trees which shows depth of field.
Framing a picture
I framed the red brick in this picture and used the windows and doors to balance it.
Balancing Elements
In my first photo, I balanced two jeeps with a car in the background in the middle. The second photo is unbalanced because there is a statue on the left and windows on the right.
